Wedding Cakes and Desserts

What is the process for ordering a wedding cake or desserts?

Congratulations on your wedding! We are excited to work with you to create your perfect wedding cake or desserts. The first step is to contact us through email to confirm that we are available to make your cake. Please include the following:

Wedding date

Reception Location

Number of guests

Any ideas you have in mind for your cake

We will respond to your email asap with our availability and a general quote. The next step is to reserve your date with a deposit that goes towards your final balance. From there we work together to design all aspects of your cake and desserts.

Why choose Hannah's for your wedding desserts?

Hannah has 15+ years experience designing, baking, delivering, and setting up wedding cakes. We make all of our cakes from scratch and everything about your cake is custom. You choose the flavors, fillings, and all aspects of the design. We are happy to guide you along the way. We are also a licensed and insured bakery.

Are you available to make my wedding cake?

That depends on the date of your wedding. We take a maximum of 3 weddings per weekend. Please email us to confirm our availability.

Do you offer cake tastings?

We offer complimentary cake tastings for wedding cakes and dessert orders over 100 servings. The complimentary tastings include 4 cupcakes in the flavors of your choosing. Please contact us at least a week before you plan to stop by with your flavor choices and we will have your tastings ready.
Having a smaller wedding? We have 10-15 flavors of cupcakes available daily. Feel free to stop in anytime to purchase and find your favorites. You can also give us a call/email in advance to ensure we have the flavors you would like to try available.

I want to meet in person to discuss my cake design. Should I just stop in?

We are a busy retail bakery and are always working on something so we recommend making an appointment for a wedding cake consultation in advance. Call or email to schedule a 15 minute in person or phone consultation to discuss your cake.

We are also happy to design your cake through email and phone calls as many of our customers live out of state.

What wedding treats do you offer?

We offer every size and shape of tiered wedding cake. We can also create a dessert table for you featuring cupcakes, mini cupcakes, gourmet cookies, macarons, and cake pops.
Looking for a small cake to cut and cupcakes? We have you covered.
Having a large wedding? We can create the wedding cake of your dreams and then provide extra servings using kitchen cakes for your guests. Kitchen cakes are double layer sheet cakes that, when cut and served, will look just like the slices from your wedding cake.

Delivery?

We offer delivery in Leelanau county and occasionally in the Traverse City area as well. There is a delivery charge based on distance from the bakery and time needed for delivery and set up.
We also allow pick up of wedding cakes 2-tiers or smaller. We do not recommend picking up cakes 3 tiers or larger. It is stressful to transport and set up a wedding cake - let us take care of that for you.
Delivery time of your wedding cake and/or desserts is arranged with you and/or your planner and depends on a number of factors. The time of year, weather, reception location, type of desserts, etc. We will work with you to ensure a smooth delivery before your guests arrive.

We have booked our cake already. Can we make changes?

Yes! We allow changes to the design and size of your order until 1 month before your wedding date. At that point we check in with you and finalize your contract details.
